3rd of March 2022. – NISZ National Infocommunications Service Company entrusted the consortium of Hungarian Banknote Printing Company and ANY Security Printing Company with the production and personalisation of Hungarian documents for the next 9 years.
The contract concluded by NISZ Zrt. with the consortium of Hungarian Banknote Printing Company and ANY Security Printing Company PLC for the production of Hungarian security documents and accessories classified in document protection category “A”, “B” and “C”, and products not categorized as security documents and for the provision of additional services is in force from 1 March 2022. Based on the contract the consortium continues to produce and personalise passports, electronic identity cards, driving licences, vehicle registration cards, official address cards, birth-, death- and other certificates and vehicle licences among others. The contract is valid until 31 December 2030 and the maximum amount eligible for use is HUF 115 billion, depending on the number of document requests from citizens.

Responding to the invitation of Davlat Belgisi (State Printing House of Uzbekistan) the delegation of HBPC and its subsidiary Diósgyőr Paper Mill visited the plant of the Printing Factory, Mint House and Paper Mill. During the factory tour the representatives of the printing houses and paper mills exchanged thoughts on technological questions which discussion may be the fund of a future co-operation in the area of substrate production and security printing technology knowledge transfer.
Davlat Belgisi is planning to return the visit, when the parties may start to discuss the prospects of a future commercial collaboration as well.
Another 8 Hungarian companies joined the Outstanding Exporter Partnership Program (OEPP) – already 35 firms as members in – announced István Joó, Deputy State Secretary for Export Development of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary in the event of the signing ceremony of the outstanding exporter partnership agreement.
The Outstanding Exporter Partnership Program was launched in January 2019 in order to recognize Hungarian-owned companies making a significant contribution to exports and now Hungarian Banknote Printing Company is also a member of it.
The program was established to expressly recognise the export activity of the key companies and to support their expansion on external markets with the assets of the export promotion institutional system.
This initiative is aiming to deepen the cooperation with the outstanding enterprises and to involve them in the export promotion programmes and the policy-discussions.

GPwA came to a round, the 10th anniversary and this time 25 organizations (19 printing houses, 3 packaging material manufacturers and 2 paper distributors) submitted entries for the GPwA competition organized for the seventh time. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis the award was now presented in the online space on 27. October 2020.

The graphic design concept developed by György Pálinkás is defined by the life-work of Ottó Herman, the self-educated natural scientist. This specimen banknote for marketing purposes is issued in both portrait and landscape formats of the same dimensions (162 X 75 mm).
The Herman Ottó banknote is a marketing product with multi-tone positioned watermark (in landscaped format with hidden security fibre), 4+4 colour super simultan offset printing, iridescent silk-screen printed and on both side with OVI® and/or with a special custom shape window Kinegram® APL foil (APL FLUX /zero-zero relief).
